Upper Market Street

Hove

    Information

Built in 1828, as a local market for Brunswick Town by architect Charles Busby, The Old Market was put to a number of uses before undergoing a significant restoration project between 1995 and 1999.

Conceived as a "building for everyone" The Old Market has had a variety of uses but is now an independent high-quality live theatre and music venue. The North and South office suites were fully refurbished in 2007 to provide boutique contemporary office suites with a combination of traditional features and contemporary cutting edge style, as can be seen in the photographs.Six out of the eight suites are now offered to purchase as an investment in their entirety or as individual units. The remaining 2 are in separate ownership. Both the North and South wings of the building have been extensively and considerately refurbished to maximize the attraction of this listed property whilst updating the office space to attract the vibrant local business community. The office suites are DDA compliant with each wing having a passenger lift and WCs for disabled use. Each suite has its own kitchen with appliances and is predominantly open plan. The suites have been very appealing to the local market and currently only 1 unit out of the original 8 is vacant.
