Referral Fees

At Oakley Property we are always open and straightforward about what we charge for our services and the referral fees that we receive.

But if anything isn’t 100% clear, or if you have any questions at all, please do get in touch. We’d be very happy to hear from you. 

The companies from whom we receive referral fees should not add the fee to their standard charges and there should therefore be no adverse effect on the costs that you pay. The companies with whom we have a referral fee arrangement have been chosen primarily because of their track record of providing a quality service to our clients, and not as a result of the referral fee arrangement that we have in place. It is your decision whether you choose to proceed with a company that we have referred you to or seek an alternative provider for the service concerned.

Mortgage Services

Where applicable, we may recommend you obtain mortgage services through:

Brighton & Hove Financial Consultants – Should you decide to use their services, Oakley Property will receive a referral fee of 20% of the commission and charge to the client on legal completion that Brighton & Hove Financial Consultants receive excl. VAT (averaging £240). The payment does not influence the cost of the service provided.

Lyons Financial - Should you decide to use their services, Oakley Property will receive a referral fee of 25 % of the commission they receive after compliance costs excl. VAT (averaging £145). The payment does not influence the cost of the service provided.

Wooton & Bean - Should you decide to use their services, Oakley Property will receive a referral fee of 25% of the commission they receive excl. VAT (averaging £231.25). The payment does not influence the cost of the service provided.

Number One Mortgages - Should you decide to use their services, Oakley Property will receive a referral fee of £100 incl VAT for a successful mortgage completion via their refer a friend/client scheme. The payment does not influence the cost of the service provided.

Surveyors

Where applicable, we may recommend you obtain surveying services through:

A.G. Consultancy - Should you decide to use their services, Oakley Property will receive a referral incentive in the form of a £50 voucher of our choice. The payment does not influence the cost of the service provided.

Conveyancers

Oakley Property has taken the decision not to engage with conveyancers on a referral fee basis. Instead, we refer transactions to conveyancers whom we are confident will support transactions in a way that ensures they complete as smoothly as possible. Some of the conveyancers may, in turn, refer clients to ourselves to sell their property, however this is based on their own opinion of our company and is not reliant on the referrals which we send them.

The London Office

Oakley Property are part of The London Office, which have associated offices throughout the UK. If a referral is made to another agent and it leads to a sale using The London Office Referral System, Oakley Property receive 10% of the net commission fee. The referral fee is paid from the commission agreed between the Agent and the introduced seller. The payment does not influence the cost of the service provided. This is a national agreement between all members.
