Support me in my World Record Cycling Bid!

26th April 2018

It's that time of year again when Oakley are the main joint sponsors of the Brighton and Hove Property Consortium Charity Bike Ride and on the 3rd May I am setting off to Brussels, with 40 other likeminded local property professionals, to raise money for the Brighton & Hove Mayor's Charities.  This will involve me having to ride 205 km from Brussels to Brighton over 2 days.

The event will support some fantastic causes to include Martlets Hospice, Albion in the Community, RISE, Clock Tower Sanctuary and the Sussex Heart Charity.

However, this year there is a record breaking twist! We are aiming to set a record for the most people to cycle one mile in the sky within a moving observation tower.  On the day this will be ratified by the Lord Lieutenant of Sussex and then we hope be verified by the Guinness Book of World Records.

On the first day of the ride I will be leading a team of 20 cyclists who will be cycling 40 laps (1 mile) of the British Airways Brighton i1360 observation tower in one up and down journey of the ride, this constitutes riding one mile in the sky! Believe it or not this is a record that hasn't been attempted before, it's a bit mad, but we thought it would really grab people's attention. Having had a practice run with only 5 of us, it's not as easy as it sounds and there's every chance we could have some very dizzy cyclists, but hopefully no bumps and bruises!

This is the 3rd year we have completed the ride and to date the Property Consortium has raised in the region of £70,000 for local good causes. Every year my Clients are so supportive of me and I am sorry to ask for your support again, but if you could donate I would be really grateful.

You can donate at my Just Giving Page link below and thank you in advance for your support!
