Shoreham Port increases its commitment to sustainable small businesses, with six brand new waterfront business units To Let at Ferry Wharf Hove

12th November 2020

Hot on the heels of the successful and fully Let Lady Bee Enterprise Centre and new units at Hove Enterprise Centre earlier this year, Shoreham Port is now extending its capacity for businesses that are looking to reduce their carbon footprint by bringing six brand new, contemporary business units to market at Ferry Wharf in Basin Road North Hove .

The six units have been constructed to complement the existing and highly successful Hove Enterprise Centre, which sits adjacent at the eastern end of the port.

The new Ferry Wharf units add to the Port’s well-established commitment to sustainable development and its status as an EcoPort, both in their construction and high levels of energy efficiency. They include LED lighting, water saving white goods, heating and cooling via air source heat pumps, as well as electric vehicle charging points and cycle storage for environmentally friendly commuting. Solar panels are soon to be added.

Situated in a prime waterfront location, with uninterrupted waterside views and easily accessible from Brighton and the surrounding area, the offices are undoubtedly an attractive and desirable place to work. Each unit is approximately 1,500 sq. ft/145 sq. m arranged over two floors and offers the ultimate in flexibility as an office, studio or technology space or alternative uses under the new E category (retail, leisure, medical). The units can be combined to create a larger facility if required.

Tim Hague, Director of Property & Infrastructure at Shoreham Port commented “Ferry Wharf satisfies the energy efficiency and environmental requirements of the world’s leading sustainability assessment method, BREEAM, and is further evidence of our commitment to carbon neutrality. Hove Enterprise Centre has been an outstanding success and we now look forward to welcoming even more new businesses that share our sustainable vision and values”.

Steven Harvey, Director at Oakley Property said “These fantastic units have been designed and built by the same award-winning team that created the Lady Bee units. As such they are high quality, practical and energy efficient. We expect them to be well received by the local market and look forward to welcoming tenants into the Shoreham Port Business Community”.

The offices are available on flexible lease terms and are being marketed by Oakley Commercial, Brighton, who can be contacted on 01273 688882.
