Oakley Win The British Property Award for Lewes
1st April 2021
Retaining their title for The British Property Award 2021, Oakley Lewes performed outstandingly throughout the extensive judging period, which focused on customer service. This is a great example of how agents who go that extra mile and provide outstanding customer service are recognised. This accolade acts as a beacon to highlight these attributes to their local marketplace. As a result of this achievement the Lewes branch have now been shortlisted for further national awards which will be announced later in the year.
David Beaken Director at Oakley Lewes commented “We are absolutely thrilled to win this award and I am so proud of our team. We previously won this award in 2019 and it means a lot to us that we’ve retained it in 2021. There are some brilliant agents in Lewes so to even be shortlisted was a huge compliment. When I heard who the finalists were, we knew the competition would be tough! In order to win, the team were mystery shopped on a number of occasions, which was valuable to know that regardless of who the team speak day-to-day the advice and service they offer is award winning and consistent. Hopefully this achievement will serve as peace of mind to our current and prospective customers who use our services.”
The British Property Awards are one of the most inclusive estate agency award providers as they do not charge a fee to enter. This has enabled their award to be structured in a manner that ensures maximum participation, on average judging over 90% of agents that meet their minimum criteria on a local level. The panel personally mystery shop every estate agent against a set of 25 criteria to obtain a balanced overview of their customer service levels.
Executive Chairman Chris Oakley commented “I am delighted that our Lewes team have again demonstrated that their level of customer service is unrivalled in the town, it’s a real testament to their passion for delivering the best customer experience we are able to!”
The judging process is both comprehensive and detailed exploring different mediums, scenarios and time periods to ensure that agents have been rigorously and fairly judged.
Robert McLean from The British Property Awards said “Our awards have been specifically designed to be attainable to all agents, removing common barriers to entry, such as cost, to ensure that we have the most inclusive awards. Our awards have also been designed to remove any opportunity for bias or manipulation. If an agent has been attributed with one of our awards, it is simply down to the fantastic customer service levels that they have demonstrated across a prolonged period of time. Winning agents should be proud that their customer service levels provide a benchmark for their local, regional and national competition”.
This most recent award for the team at Lewes compliments the Professional Services Award won at the 2018 district business awards along with Lewes Business of the year at the mayors Fatstock dinner in the same year.
