The Presidents Cup Golf Event

Our Lewes Director, David Beaken, who is a former president of the Brighton & Hove estate Agents Association (BHEAA) is organising The Presidents Cup golf event for the 4th year running.

About the event

The Presidents Cup takes place every year and, following tradition, this year’s event is taking place at West Hove Golf Club on October 14th and will be held in the memory of association friend and colleague Toby Carrington, who sadly passed away earlier this year.

The day will consist of individual and team competitions, as well as a special charity hole, longest drive and nearest the pin prizes.

Entry for a team of four costs £280 and includes tea and coffee on arrival, 18 holes of golf and a two-course meal. First tee off will be at 11am.

As always, local businesses are invited to sponsor various parts of the day. Cardiff & Vale Health Charity

In honour of Toby, all the funds raised from this year’s event will be for his families chosen charity, the Cardiff & Vale Health Charity. The money raised will specifically be given to the charity's Cardiology Department.

Cardiff & Vale Health Charity is the official charity of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board which supports all the wards, departments, hospitals, community services and research areas throughout Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan.

The Health Charity manages over 300 funds for equipment, research, treatment and patient care so that donations can support work and projects over and above what normal NHS funding provides.

In addition, creating a more welcoming and comfortable hospital environment can make a huge difference to patients and their families. Art and music throughout the hospitals, refurbishment projects and some specialist counselling projects are provided by the Health Charity to enhance the patient experience. Many of the Health Charity’s supporters have a strong wish to thank the hospital staff who have made a difference to them and their families. Through their donations, the Health Charity is able to make hospital areas more comfortable for staff, providing rest areas, drinks facilities and other simple enhancements.

The BHEAA

The Brighton & Hove Estate Agents Association (BHEAA) was established in 1886 to maintain and improve the already high standards of local Estate Agency by hosting regular seminars and training events. The BHEAA also raises thousands of pounds every year in order to support local charities and improve the community. 

The BHEAA appoints a new President every year who manages the Association with their appointed council members. Oakley Property are proud to have four former presidents of the BHEAA among our ranks, two of which remain on the council.
