Sale of Emblem House in Southwick secured

Our commercial team is delighted to confirm the sale of a well-known but rare Freehold Factory, with a very happy client. These premises are within the Brighton conurbation and extend to over 12,500 sq. ft.

Emblem house on Manor Hall Road, Southwick has been sold to Standard8, who design, make and install cultural exhibitions, information graphics and bespoke pieces for projects in prime national and international locations. These premises will enable Standard8 to expand its operation from the smaller Portslade space they are currently occupying. The factory has been the home of John Nicholas Bespoke Furniture for 20 years, and its availability on the market provided a rare opportunity in a market scarce of stock. 

Due to the high demand for industrial space across Sussex we were able to agree a sale in excess of our guide price of £1.25m; this following a best bids procedure which we recommended from the outset. Our team were able to arrange a short-term lease back as part of the deal, and Standard8 will take occupation later this year. Our Commercial Agency Director, Steven Harvey, handled the sale.
